Preparing for Job Interview





1.
Preliminary

Step - 1: Ask and analyse yourself (i.e. you and your expectations)
Step - 2: Collect the information about the company, the job
Step - 3: Take Decision
If Step - 1 > Step - 2: Seek other Job
If Step - 1 = Step - 2: Compromise
If Step - 1 < Step - 2: Go for Job


2. Resume Writing Precautions

Prepare Resume preferably on good quality A4 paper.
Avoid undue stuff.
Never prepare a rigid resume.
Never give such information which you don't own.
Highlight your strengths and achievements.

3. Covering Letter

Covering letter helps in convincing the reader to look at your Resume.
Every covering letter should fit one page and contain the Salutation part, the Opening part, the Context part and the Conclusion.

4. Prepare for the probable questions at the Interview.

Reach the Interview place in time. If you are new to place, visit the place first.
Put all your preliminaries such as Resume copies, phone number of the contact person, etc. well in place.
The underlying philosophy is "First Impression is the Last Impression."
Therefore, good appearance is must.

5. Conduct at Interviews

Knock before you enter.
Walk with a humble but positive attitude and not arrogant attitude.
Greet the Interviewer.
Give your Resume in such a manner that it comes in his/ her hands as "Top to   Bottom" run.
Be honest in your replies.
